About isabilaw
AI-powered legal research for everyday Nigerians.
What is isabilaw?
isabilaw helps you ask questions about Nigerian law and get clear, grounded answers. It searches official publications and trusted public sources, then explains the results in plain language—with citations you can check.
You can use isabilaw for everyday legal research, follow-up questions, document review, document drafting, and optional summaries in Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, or Nigerian Pidgin. It is built for general understanding, not as a substitute for a qualified lawyer.
Who built it?
isabilaw is built by (c) 2026 Adelante Nigeria Ltd. Our goal is to make legal information easier to find and understand—not to replace professional legal advice.
How it works
- You ask a question in everyday language (or dictate it with voice input).
- isabilaw retrieves relevant passages from Federal Government Gazette material, official publications, Nigerian government and regulator websites (.gov.ng, .mil.ng, and selected legacy official hosts), and reference sources such as Wikipedia where helpful for background context.
- An AI assistant writes a readable answer in English and links back to the sources used.
- Signed-in users can optionally receive a Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, or Nigerian Pidgin summary of the answer, upload documents for review, or generate draft templates for common legal documents.
Key features
- Legal Q&A — ask about statutes, rights, procedures, and compliance topics with cited sources
- Document review — upload PDFs, Word files, or images for an informational review against Nigerian law
- Document draft — generate editable starter templates for employment letters, tenancy agreements, NDAs, and other common documents
- Localized summaries — plain-language Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, or Nigerian Pidgin summaries of English answers for signed-in users
- Conversation history — save and reopen past chats when you sign in
- Sharing — share individual answers or whole conversations by link
- Voice input — dictate questions where your browser supports it
- Account preferences — choose answer tone (everyday or legal style) and response language
Where our information comes from
Legal facts in isabilaw answers are grounded primarily in official Nigerian sources: gazette material in our database, official publications, and pages from government and regulator websites. We also use selected third-party reference material for general background only—not as legal authority.
Internet-sourced background information and AI-generated summaries or drafts may not be complete or perfectly accurate. Always verify important points against official sources or a qualified Nigerian lawyer before acting on them.
Important disclaimer

Document review, document drafts, and localized summaries are informational aids only. For matters affecting your rights, money, employment, property, or criminal liability, consult a qualified Nigerian lawyer.
